Cris, you didn't read far enough I wrote Channel Mixer which is under Image -> Adjustments.

I have now managed to do what I was trying to do. Ian's suggestions gave me a useful nudge on that.

I will be doing a write to help me remember what I did and I might as well post it on the forum (?Editing and technical) in case it is of interest to anyone else.

Even if it isn't the exercise has helped me to understand layers a bit more

No doubt an excellent help with your learning curve, I know, I've been there. Could I suggest you spend a few minutes and havre a look at this video it might be of help to you it was and still is for me.

Thanks Norman - your post is very timely.


I had seen Martin's video - and I have the CG DVD, but because I had Elements at the time I couldn't apply the full approach because I didn't have all necessary tools.

I do now so I need to move over to using them.
