R3 goes abstract

Another one from my visit to the Richard 3 visitor centre - based on the name at the entrance

Re: R3 goes abstract

Chris, this has a sort of astronomical feel about it might look even more interesting if turned say 90 degrees CW or some other orientation.

Re: R3 goes abstract

Thanks Norman.

I didn't get any astronomical vibes from it but I did try various orientations (the one I posted included a horizontal flip).

In the end I went with the darker to lighter from top right to bottom left and the curve led my eye in that direction too. (with bottom right generally being the strongest position (as I understand it)

Probably a bit formulaic but on balance I preferred it that way.

Out of interest, Chris, do you ever try rotations like 45 degrees? I find trying this sort of thing useful in creating abstracts.
