Ian, I am sure that I would find the Big Curves Box of great use as I find the standard PS sized curve rather delicate for my not so steady hands. Will it be possible to use the Big Curves Box with other panels, please?

Norman

From memory i do not think the Big Curves box will work in Photoshop CS6 but as a work around you could always try pressing CTRL + M on Windows or CMD + M on Mac

Hi Ian
I have just installed Digital Zones and it was so easy to do so!
I just wish other software people would give precise instructions like you, it worked a treat, now to work……………... emoticon emoticon

Re: NEW: Digital Zones Photoshop Panel

Ian, I am trying the Action in CS6 and, so far, it is working as I think it should. Do I need to read the information in the help file and, if so, how do I get it, please?

Up till now I have used the Luminosity Panel and very often paint in what I want rather than the reverse, using the method you have described. The same process seems to work with the action but the difference is that the group formed is now within the displayed zones layers, does this matter?

Finally, I think to be able to use Stamp Visible would be a good thing is there an easy way to do this, please?

Re: NEW: Digital Zones Photoshop Panel

I have already looked at the videos and they are the reason for my interest. I cannot use the panel because I use CS6 and, therefore, I use the Action you have made available but the help file and the Stamp Visible do not come with the Action, hence my question.

The idea is that once you have run the action, it places all the zones into a group and applies a mask to a curve adjustment layer.

Select the Zone you wish to adjust and use the curve to change that particular Zone

You can Stamp Visible by issuing the following keyboard command

Shift + Alt + Control + E or you can download it FREE as an action from

Re: NEW: Digital Zones Photoshop Panel

That's really good to have Stamp Visible as an action it saves getting my fingers tied up.

I understand the concept of selecting the zone to work on and that's no problem. In the video you show that if there are parts of the image that one doesn't want to be altered then painting on the mask with a black brush deals with that and with that I have no problem. What I also like to do is having selected the zone and made the change is to mask this change which could have happened in many parts of the image where it is not wanted and paint in the change just where it was needed. It seems to work quite well but I need to extend my tests.

Another way which is probably a better way is to not paint on the mask but instead, put the Zone into a group and apply a mask to the group.

I might do a video on this
