Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 Equivalent
last week I spent a considerable amount of time creating custom profiles with the X-Rite color Munki and this week I have decided to test some papers I have had lying around in the cupboard for some time.
The tests are based on Matte paper and the first one was Hahnemuhle 308 Photo Rag.
This paper is very nice and produced excellent results using the Epson ABW driver. I chose the media setting in accordance to what Hahnemuhle recommend.
The second paper I tried was by paper Spectrum called Pinnacle Cotton Rag and has a weight of 310gsm
Again i printed the same set of images as I did for the Hahnemuhle ande set the media type in the print ABW driver to Water Colour Radiant White as suggested by Paper Spectrum documentation.
The results were amazing in fact I would go as far to say that they held up to match the Hahnemuhle brand.
The Pinnacle is a fraction of the cost and if your looking for a nice Matte paper then I would certainly suggest you give this a try

I use the Pinnacle papers, both the Cotton Rag and the Baryta 300. I have no idea what the distinctions between the two types are, but both give superb results.
