Re: Inside the Co-Op x 3
Great set, images like this give a real atmospheric feel to the place, also a good record, particularly if the place is to be bulldozed, I like getting into places like this myself if I can, just need to be carefull of old syringes etc,

Re: Inside the Co-Op x 3
Love this series Steve. Like Tim, I find beauty in buildings which have gone past their best. You have captured the heart of this once great building. You have done exceptional well with both shadows and highlights...was it one of your small sensor cameras?

Re: Inside the Co-Op x 3
Thank you both. Tim, I do like to get into these sort of places but, being on my own I was a bit weary of local junkies having taken up residence. Always worth pairing up if you can. The biggest problem I found with this place though was the amount of pigeon crap that literally covered one room like a carpet. Gross!
Tommy, this may have been with my old Nikon D5000. I'll have a look in LR when I get a minute.

Steve

Re: Inside the Co-Op x 3
Lovely set Steve. Growing up in Salford in the sixties there was a slum clearance project by the government and local council. I remember wandering around similar buildings and mills, and yes the pigeon crap was everywhere. These places were our playgrounds for many years. It would be great to revisit them now, sadly not possible.
Regards,
Alan

Re: Inside the Co-Op x 3
I thought I had already seen these but on actually checking I realise that I haven't.
'Dereliction' is yet another genre that I have had little success with.
These three make a great set and give a real sense of the grandiose having declined.
