Re: two umbrellas

I find the lack of focus on the foreground subjects a bit disconcerting Reg. I think it would have been better if you had kept the people in focus and let the background fall out of focus.

Re: two umbrellas

My first post, forgive me if I don't get the right tone!

I really like the first version of this. The line through the umbrellas to the campanile is great, the OOF foreground shows you the buildings behind are the real subject. The dome shape is echoed in the umbrellas, the campanile shape in the middle leg, another leg is diagonal emphasising that. Maybe a touch off the RHS could be cropped? Had the water been more still to get at least some reflection of the campanile that would have made it even better, IMHO. But you can only take what you can see. Like it lot!

Re: two umbrellas

I like it Reg. Yes as Toby says in an ideal world .... but the OOF focus does not bother me (I'm a rebel). As an image it works for me.

Thanks for viewing, Mike

I always welcome critique of my images but prefer to try recommended edits myself.
