Re: Gaol Interior

I like this. Nice simple composition Tommy and beautifully rendered tones.
I spent some time wondering about the composition and as to whether it could be improved but in the end, decided that everything is necessary and it works just as it is.

Lovely tones, lovely detail. I've come back to this a few times because I like it, and perhaps my only wish would be for some separation between table and bucket, but hey I would never have thought of that when shooting.

Thanks for viewing, Mike

I always welcome critique of my images but prefer to try recommended edits myself.

Re: Gaol Interior

Its a very nice composition but I think its a little flat and needs a slight up lift in the white regions, in other words a slight push in contrast

Re: Gaol Interior

Thank you Mike and Martin. I know what you mean Martin regarding the contrast, but when editing this one and a few others from the same location I could not help but edit them as they [sign in to see URL] dull and lifeless. Maybe you are right!
Anyhow, here is another few from the same place.

Like the whole set, nicely composed and exposed, and they give you a feel for what the place is like.
