Textured Backgrounds

As creative artists, we have the freedom of using that creative licence when producing our artwork.

There are many tools we can use for this process, tilt/shift lens to change the plane of focus is one of them, using background textures in the post processing stage is another.

Some work, some don't, at the end of the day, unless you are working for a client, you are the artist and the best way to express your vision is to create images for yourself.

Re: Textured Backgrounds

I often visualise something Id like to do in Photoshop but don't really have the skills ( or time) so Im quite envious of your expertise Ian

This works really well and the backgrounds Ive seen you use in the past work very well too emoticon

If you visualise it then have a go regardless of your skill set.

This is a creative license, do it for yourself, keeps trying different methods, you will eventually find a workflow that suits you.
