I now have a Nikon D750 with some primes, great little camera, just wish it had a viewfinder blind like my old D700 instead i have to use blue tack to stop the light straying onto the sensor when shooting long exposures, but all in all a great choice... Apparently he thought my tripod was a gun as there had been a lot of poaching of deer in them thar fields over yonder Tell you what - found out he sells farm equipment - must be money in that as he has a private helicopter! Exposing more to the right would have retained more shadow detail but you would have lost the highlights. Adding an extra ND filter would have been difficult because of the shape in the middle of the highlight area.
