I tried to do something a little different with this shot, still ended up a bit touristy....

Re: Churchill Statue

I wouldn't say this is touristy at all.

Thought has clearly gone into the composition and the image is still recognisably Churchill and the inclusion of the famous tower (?the one with Big Ben inside) adds the governmental/parliamentary context. And the fact that the image itself is 'arty' adds his artistic side too.

Thanks Chris, I find that because London has been photographed so much, it is difficult to find a fresh [sign in to see URL] at the same time it's all new to me, being a northerner.

Re: Churchill Statue

Really well exposed and unusual shot, love the inclusion of Big Ben
P.S As a Londoner by birth,I have seen this on a regular basis, I have never liked this statue, this is the tough and tenacious leader who marched around with a cigar in his mouth and encouraged us to stand fast through the darkest hours of the Second World War,but this statue depicts him as a crooked hunched old man, leaning on his walking stick! sorry, rant over emoticon
But do like the way you have approached this Alan.
