Hen Catcher
Any questions on scanning just ask
--- "After that shutter closes it’s all over. The physical light captured on film is all that is left, a history of light preserved in chemical form, and I have to move on to the next one."

Re: Hen Catcher
Another excellent portrait and edit. No auto focus i presume?
Martin when scanning what output size do you scan for, and what is the maximum size that you could print from a 35mm negative without the image starting to deteriorate?
Regards,
Alan

Re: Hen Catcher
I scan at the highest Res which on my Nikon 9000ed is 4000pi, that will give me a approx 50meg Tiff in Nikon gray profile, if I then change it to an RGB file in PS the size would increase to 150meg.
You could print without upsize to around 18x12" at 300pi, this is ample for me as I dont print any bigger.
With upsizing I guess you could print a lot bigger for normal viewing.
No Auto focus, was not invented when I took this

Re: Hen Catcher
Lol you will soon get into it, its not as complicated as Digi cams or Photoshop
