I thought I would have a play around and came up with this.

Interesting, looks like a 1970's Sci-Fi book cover, what is it, a building or tower turned on its side ? I'm intrigued emoticon

Tim, it's the top of some sort of radio or television mast turned more or less as you said.

like it, the diagonal composition works well and gets you thinking.
Maybe some sort of fine border would work, and contain it, although they are not to everyones taste.

I'll have a look at a border, that's a good idea Tim, thanks.

Yes like this.

The diagonal adds interest to an unusual image.

And in this case the lack of any indication of scale adds rather than detracts as you are not sure if it is a weird building or something more the size of a cotton bobbin (say)

Thank you for your kind comments, Chris which justify the image as an abstract. I try to take abstract as meaning a part of something where identity and scale are immaterial and where the viewer can allow the imagination to take charge.
