Kodak Tri-X 400 gives some lovely tones although I used to find it a bit grainy. However, this seems relatively grain free and all in all a very pleasant image.

Thanks Norman. Again, the developer has a lot to do with the grain. I use Ilford DD-X. I also develop in distilled water as the chemical makeup of your water can have an effect as well.

This is also a very large crop as it was shot with a 55mm lens. That shows you how fine the grain really is.
