Interesting but limited to Mac users what about a cloner for Windows users?

Windows users might want to look at Microsoft RichCopy, which used to be called RoboCopy. I use Richcopy to copy all sorts, from folders to drives. I use it in place of raid 1, it can copy files and folders to another drive and delete what has changed on the source drive or folders. Bulletproof as they say.

A friend of mine uses Goodsync by the Roboform people, "paid for" but good.

Time Machine backs up your internal hard drive, if your LR catalog and master photos are on the internal hard drive then they will be backed up but its not really good practice to have your Master images on the internal HD.
