I am managing OK with what I have Ian, Lightroom 5 and CS6 Photoshop. I feel enough of an investment has been made already, without a monthly DD from Adobe. I will not buy into CC until I have no choice but to do so.

I have bought the LR6 perpetual licence version- I am ot going the CC route either

I'm afraid that Adobe are bullying customers into the CC versions. This is what happens when a single company gets to dominate a market. They need some serious competition, to raise their awareness of the needs, wishes and requirements of long-terms customers, but sadly there isn't really any out there. Apple do the same thing by making cross-platform integrity very difficult, or impossible.
