Black and White Points

I have been asked why setting the black point to RGB (7,7,7) and the White point to RGB (247,247,247) is important.

Setting the black point to RGB 7 is roughly Zone III which will give you textured blacks with detail and setting the Whitr point to RGB 247 is roughly Zone IX which will give you textured white.

These settings of course are geared more towards print output.
