Thanks for commenting Steve.

I think one explanation as to why I am getting so much out of it (and now at page 260) is that I am starting from a much lower base than you and many others on here.

Certainly it is no chore for me to read it and I am becoming impatient to finish it so that I can mull it all over and try to have a go at some of the ideas it is giving me.

I'll check out the Bruce Barnbaum book too - but after I have finished 'From Basics ...' I will probably need a bit of light relief - I have a Rebus story waiting for me ......

Thanks - yes the link does work now.

Some striking pictures - difficult to work out what some of them are - especially the smaller ones - maybe they are some of his equivalence/Stiegler type picture(?) which aren't necessarily pictures of 'things' as such.
