Tesla's big coil
At the Crossness Steampunk Convivial yesterday I watched a demonstration by a group of people who had brought along all manner of strange electrical equipment not least of which was the large Tesla Coil (on the left).
Very noisy and chucking out lightning bolts all over the place, this dedicated chap seemed to find it amusing to 'conduct' these lightning bolts with a large stick.
I stood back a bit...

Good image of what was going on,I'm sure they know what they are doing, what with health and safety and all that,but all these larks with electricity and lightning always strikes me as being extremely dangerous (excuse the pun).
