The triangles created aid a strong composition John, but I wonder if more contrast between the foreground and background slopes would improve matters.
I might also be tempted to crop the sky level with the top of the slope to the left.
Nice idea and well spotted.

A very bold angle John and the little tree adds the icing, the only thing that's missing is a little light to give a more dynamic effect, at the moment it all looks a little flat or should I say no depth, emoticon
