Missed this one Tom (not difficult on Runboard sadly) but it's a great image and I can only echo the comments of others.

Thanks for viewing, Mike

I always welcome critique of my images but prefer to try recommended edits myself.

Thank you ever so much everyone for your comments. When I say it was a grab shot would you believe me if I said that I decided to just hold my camera at waist level and just guess what I was shooting at while walking along that street. Needless to say this was the pick of the bunch and good fun as well trying to guess the opportune time to press the shutter.

Just goes to show that you can 'think' too much about composing a pictureemoticon

The angle is what makes this image interesting - I was reading something about Vivian Maier recently and she held her camera at waist height which is one of the many reasons why we find her images so interesting. I would love to use the live view on my Nikon D5000 more often to get shots from a different angle but it is soooo sloooow by the time it focuses the moment is over ... I tried a D5200 once and this was much faster. Did you just point and shoot?

I'm curious how people are missing posts - I don't think Im missing any (yet!) at all

Does it not show 'new' in the lists of posts for everyone?

I don't normally find much of interest in street photography - indeed, most of it is awful - but this has terrific dynamism and movement.
