Re: Morton - Bridge Of Glove
An interesting image Simon, I like the way you have made the bridge a focal point. Not sure what CEP is but I think I like the first one better, although the difference is really small.

Re: Morton - Bridge Of Glove
Amusing, nicely toned, I prefer the first.
Nik ColorEfex Martin, and an action known as Darken/Lighten Centre.

Re: Morton - Bridge Of Glove
Got it, I just use brush for that, no smart action will tell me how to darken or lighten my image haha

Re: Morton - Bridge Of Glove
At the risk of sounding a bit dim, I have to say I honestly can't see any noticeable difference in the two images.
Then again, I'm relatively new to B&W processing.
I like both.

Ahhh- glad it's not just me who can't always see the difference

Re: Morton - Bridge Of Glove
you can see the difference more easily if you compare specific elements in the image , e.g. the hand rail, the distant boats etc
I agree that the original has the 'feel' I was going for

Re: Morston - Bridge Of Glove
I see minimal difference Simon.
In terms of composition I think I would have liked a slightly higher viewpoint that led my eye in some direction once across the bridge.
Yes we can see the next bridge top right but tend to get marooned between the two.
Just my five penneth for what it's worth. ( Maybe a farthing!!)
--- Thanks for viewing, Mike
I always welcome critique of my images but prefer to try recommended edits myself.
